How do I prepare for the PSE Certification exam?The PSE program provides a complete study guide, The Foundations for Sales Excellence: The Principles and Practices of Sales which includes contributions from over 100 leading sales authorities from a broad variety of industries.Where do I take the exam?The Center for Professional Sales Development & Leadership has contracted with ACT Center to administer its examination in a proctored and secure computer-based testing environment. How was the examination created?The published works of authoritative industry authors and experts represented in The Selling Advantage newsletter over the course of nearly two decades was used to identify the framework and content of the exam. A committee of experienced sales professionals chosen from a large selection of industries developed the exam questions drawing from their knowledge of sales practices and using the sales concepts and principles referenced in the study guide The Foundations for Sales Excellence.These questions were then reviewed by a volunteer group of active sales mangers from over 25 leading companies who served as beta-testers to validate and comment on the exam content. The result is a highly useful certification exam which measures the essential knowledge necessary for the successful practice of sales.
